22nd of November 2014: Filming Fleur Estelle
Today I arrived at the dance studio in Covent Garden to film the Belly dance school Fleur Estelle at our agreed time (2:30pm). I brought the Panasonic HC-V210 video camera and tripod to the studio. I also asked an adult and a friend to help me out with filming.
Unfortunately when I arrived I was told that we were unable to use the tripod in the studio due to the risk of the rubber grips damaging the floor (which was rather strange as we were allowed to wear shoes in the studio!) none the less we worked with what we had and with the help of my friend and dad we were able to get some really good footage of the belly dancing, even if some of it was a bit shaky I'm sure I can correct it on Final Cut Pro X.
We were given a window of 30 minutes to film the dance class as they were on a tight schedule, so we used the time well to film a typical dance routine that lasted 10 minutes. And the rest was the class doing a 20 minute warm up routine. On Monday I will take in the footage and import it onto Final Cut Pro X and begin editing!
